Birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries-oh my! What do you do when the veteran Pokémon trainer in your life needs a special gift? You give them more mons, of course. Take a look through these ideas for gifting inspiration.
Poké ball gifts are what I like to call a safe bet. If you’re buying a gift for a Pokémon fan but you don’t know much about Pokémon (much less which Pokémon they like,) I recommend a Poké ball ramen bowl. Everyone uses Poké balls in every mainline Pokémon game, ever since the first game was released.
I love this Poké ball ramen noodle bowl in particular because it’s unique and functional. It’s microwave safe, so it could be the perfect present for a Pokémon fan heading off to college. It’s dishwasher friendly, too.
If you like the idea of a Pokémon ramen bowl but don’t want the Poké ball design, the other Pokémon-themed choices are:
- Pikachu
- Pikachu with lightning
- Gengar
- Snorlax

While the supply of Pokémon popsockets is neverending, this sleeping Eevee pop socket has got to be one of the cutest. A peaceful, fluffy eevee is curled up in a crescent moon surrounded by gold stars. Aww~ As an Eeveelution fan, I adore this.
It’s typical for enamel pop sockets to be pricier than their plastic counterparts. I think the increased price for enamel is worth it, because enamel doesn’t fade and it feels weightier than plastic.
Besides Sleeping Eevee, the other enamel Pokémon popsocket options are:
- Enamel Poké Ball
- Hey Pikachu
- GITD Gengar (mislabeled online, Eevee with flowers)
- Bulbasaur Nap

Want to wake up to piping hot waffles made by Charizard? I’m sure that’s what Ash would call the breakfast of champions. Since Charmander is the most popular Pokémon starter and Charizard is his final evolution, this Charizard waffle iron would be a hit with many fans.
Here’s what I like: the inside is nonstick, so it won’t take forever to clean. Charizard not your favorite? Uncanny Brands has a variety of Pokémon waffle makers, including designs that feature:
- Pikachu
- Eevee
- Bulbasaur
- Charmander
- Squirtle
- Poké ball

It would make a great year-round throw blanket since it’s made from lightweight flannel. There are two sizes and two designs to choose from. The alternative design shows mostly legendary Pokémon.

Like the Poké ball ramen bowl, I nominate the Poké ball popcorn maker as a universally safe gift for Pokémon fans. Everyone likes catching mons and popping corn. If you paired this with a few Pokémon movies, popcorn, and candy, you could make a Pokémon movie night gift basket. The only downside about the popcorn maker is that it’s one of the most expensive gifts listed.

Porygon is another fan favorite from the first generation of 150 Pokémon. What I love about this Porygon hoodie is that the color scheme feels playful and retro. A callback to the original Pokémon style, maybe?
In this design, Porygons float through a dreamland made of red crystals, flowers, magnets, and geometric shapes. The only drawback could be that this hoodie is very thin. Its lightweight design is perfect for warm/cool climates, but it won’t do much against the cold.

A solid silver Milotic ring? Yes. Simply, yes. Milotic is a beautiful sea monster from the Hoenn region, and she makes for the perfect ring shape.
All of Milotic’s small details, even her thin antennae, remain flawless in this design. If you know a Pokémon fan who’s crazy about gen 3 or water-type Pokémon, this ring would be awesome for them. The only catch is that being a handmade silver ring… it’s a bit pricey.

You’d be hard-pressed to find an adult Pokémon fan who doesn’t like Gengar. Gengar is another Kanto Pokémon from the original 150. As that region’s fan-favorite ghost type, he’s quite popular.
This Gengar sweatshirt gives the Pokémon world a sinister Kaiju makeover. In this design, our spooky boy towers over skyscrapers as a huge Kaiju ready to attack. “Gengar” is written in Kanji above the ominous cityscape. The minimal use of colors (only black, red, and purple) gives this Gengar sweatshirt a unique feel.

To end our list, I’ll usher us aboard the S.S. Anne, docked in Vermillion City. I love that this S.S. Anne canvas art print looks like it could be a luxurious advertisement for Pokémon’s most famous cruise ship. The art itself is beautiful. Haley Bennett, the artist, offers the same design on a host of other products. If you like the S.S. Anne design, but don’t want an art print, you can buy t-shirts, stickers, and more with the same look.

FAQs
Before you go off to catch ‘em all, stick around for answers to the most frequently asked questions about Pokémon merch. Got any other questions? Leave them in the comments below for answers!
Where Can I Buy Pokémon Cards?
Fortunately, Pokémon cards can be bought nearly anywhere! I’ve even found smaller packs in Dollar Tree. I recommend checking Wal-mart, Target, GameStop, and comic book stores. There are tons of older Pokémon cards you can find online, too.
Is There a Plush for Every Pokémon?
Not every Pokémon has an official plush, but all of them have fanmade plushies. If you can’t find an official plush of your favorite, I recommend checking Etsy and AliExpress. Sometimes, the fanmade plushies are even cuter than the official ones.
Do Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Have Different Stories?
No, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet do not have different stories. In line with other Pokémon games, the biggest difference between the two versions is that some of the Pokémon you can catch in each game are different. For example, trainers from Scarlet will be joined by Koraidon and Violet trainers will partner with Miraidon.
